The ancestral Tunisian strengthening ritual
In Tunisia, it is called Zit El Kharwa — زيت الخروع. Long before castor oil became fashionable, it was already part of the gestures handed down by mothers and grandmothers: nourishing the hair, massaging the hands, protecting dry areas. Our oil is obtained from the first cold pressing of Ricinus communis seeds, in Tunisia. Golden and clear, it naturally contains over 85% ricinoleic acid — the active that gives it its dense, enveloping texture and its reputation in hair rituals around the world.
Its beauty benefits
-
Dry, brittle hair: coats the fibre, helps limit breakage caused by dryness, adds suppleness and shine
-
Lashes and brows: nourishes and coats each hair, for a fuller-looking gaze
-
Nails and cuticles: nourishes and softens the skin around the nail
-
Dry skin: hands, elbows, knees, heels — wherever skin feels tight
-
100% pure and virgin: a single ingredient, no additives or fragrance
How to use
Hair treatment, once a week: apply to the lengths and scalp, leave on for 30 minutes to overnight, then shampoo.
Dry ends: warm one or two drops between your fingers and apply to the ends only.
Lashes and brows: a thin layer in the evening, with a clean spoolie, without touching the inside of the eye.
Nails and skin: one drop massaged into the cuticles or dry areas until absorbed.
Its texture is naturally thick: mix it in equal parts with Jojoba Velours to make it more fluid. For a complete hair ritual, pair it with our Régénération Capillaire serum, or find the whole ritual in La Cure des Cheveux.
